A Midlands greetings card company has its expansion plans wrapped up after opening in the LCP owned Wulfrun Shopping Centre, Wolverhampton.

Tom Banner, co-owner of Card Stop, which has six stores across the Midlands, including Kidderminster, Cannock, and Stratford-upon-Avon, said the company had been keen to open a Wolverhampton shop as part of its growth plans.

“Our warehouse is in Dudley and it made sense to open a store that is local to our head office,” he said.

“We have been looking at opening in Wolverhampton for some time and are pleased to have found the right property in the heart of a busy shopping centre.”

We undertook refurbishment works to provide a modern retail unit and Card Stop agreed a five-year lease deal.

Andrew Barrett, asset manager, said: “Card Stop is a thriving independent chain that has been attracted to the Wulfrun Shopping Centre because of its convenient city location and the complementary offering on its doorstep and we are very pleased to welcome it to the mall.”

Wulfrun Centre, Wolverhampton, is one of the city’s main retail centres, comprising 200,000 sq ft. Other occupiers include Poundland, Specsavers, Argos, Peacocks and The Fragrance Shop.
