An asset manager has joined our Scotland office as we look to expand our operations in the country.

Dermit Smith, who has more than 30 years’ experience as a chartered surveyor, joins from Shaw Smith Property, a niche business that provided investment advice to clients, which he established in 2012.

A Fellow of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors and a member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators, Dermit has also worked as director at Cogent Property Solutions LLP.

Julian Diamond, retail director: “We are thrilled to welcome Dermit to LCP at what is an exciting growth period for the business. He brings with him a wealth of experience, which will be hugely beneficial as we continue to expand our portfolio of retail and industrial properties across Scotland.”

Dermit added: “I’m looking forward to working with my colleagues to ensure the properties within the LCP portfolio are well maintained and brings added value to both the companies and in the communities we serve.”

The Scotland office was opened in Glasgow last spring. Sites within the LCP portfolio in Scotland include Knightwood and Govan Cross Shopping Centres in Glasgow, Airdrie Retail Park in Airdie, and Forbes Court on the Middlefield Industrial Estate in Falkirk.
