THE ARCADIAN LAUNCHES SERVICE TO GET REVELLERS HOME SAFELY

The Arcadian – one of Birmingham’s leading nightspots – has launched a service that will enable its revellers to get home safely after a night out.

The leisure destination has teamed up with Birmingham-based Ambassador Private Hire Service to provide a safe area on the ground floor of its car park, which will be staffed by its own taxi marshals and staff from the private hire firm every Thursday, Friday and Saturday from 2.30am-5.30am.

It will enable clubbers to order and wait for a licensed cab to take them home in a safe place.

Jo Kinsella, centre manager, said: “We want people coming to The Arcadian to enjoy a fantastic night out with their friends in our restaurants, bars and clubs, safe in the knowledge that they are just a short walk away from our car park taxi service, which is covered, staffed and has CCTV.

“The service not only guarantees our visitors a licensed private hire vehicle, they will also know exactly how much their fare will be before they even get into the car because these details will be agreed by Ambassador and the passengers when they order their cab.

“Having trialled the service for a month, we are delighted to confirm our partnership with Ambassador Private Hire Service, which is a well-established and respected firm in the city.” 

The arrangement between The Arcadian, which is owned by LCP, and Ambassador Private Hire Service will see a number of taxis parked in the Arcadian car park, ready for fares while staff will send for taxis if all are out taking people home.

The service operates from the ground floor of the car park by the main pay point.
