A mobile timber coatings specialist has doubled the size of its workshop at a Wirral industrial estate, following a period of substantial growth.

Timber Coaters Ltd has secured a five-year lease on a 4,736 sq ft unit at Old Hall Industrial Estate on Wrynose Road.

Old Hall Industrial Estate – owned and managed by London & Cambridge Properties (LCP) – is a popular industrial location within easy reach of the M53 to the south or A41 north towards Liverpool city centre.

Previously based elsewhere in The Wirral, the coatings company – which uses products favoured by the housebuilding sector – has relocated to larger premises to support a significant increase in production.

Graeme Thomas, director of Timber Coaters Ltd, said: “The housebuilding industry is experiencing an upturn after reporting six straight months of increased activity. This has also had a major positive impact on our business with sales doubling in recent months.

“We had outgrown our previous premises and, as the estate is just a short drive from our previous facility, the move caused minimal disruption for our employees and customers.”

Paula James, sales negotiator at LCP, said: “We’re delighted to be able to support Timber Coaters Ltd’s growth with a unit at Old Hall Industrial Estate. It provides more production space as well as improved accessibility for vehicles picking up and delivering goods.”

The estate has a range of available units, measuring between 4,682 sq ft and 38,470 sq ft, suitable for trade, production and warehouse use. Neighbouring tenants include: Promat UK Ltd, Empire Supplies Ltd and NAC Holdings Plc.
