A new all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet is opening its first UK restaurant in the heart of Birmingham’s vibrant Arcadian Centre, which is owned and managed by London & Cambridge Properties Ltd.

The Kyoto Sushi and Grill has been operating for the past six years and now the owners have decided to bring their fixed-price, all-you-can-eat Japanese buffet concept to the city for the first time.

Located in Hurst Street, the restaurant is the latest new attraction to open in the Arcadian Centre and will bring up to 30 full- and part-time jobs to the city.

Johnny Wong, one of the restaurant owners, said they were keen to open their first UK restaurant in Birmingham because Japanese cuisine is becoming more popular throughout the UK.

“We know Birmingham is the right place to come to open our first venue and as soon as we saw the Arcadian Centre, we felt it would be right at home, being in the heart of the lively Chinese Quarter,” he said.

The restaurant, which features more than 70 dishes, has opened its doors to lovers of high quality sushi, handmade rolls, noodles, soups, and salads.

Welcoming Kyoto Sushi and Grill to the Arcadian Centre, which is owned and managed by London & Cambridge Properties, centre manager Lina Higuita said: “It’s very exciting to welcome a new tenant to the Arcadian, which has a reputation for being a great place to enjoy a evening out, whether to dine, dance or go to the comedy club.

“We already boast a range of restaurants that serve food from around the world and the addition of the Kyoto Sushi and Grill will add another rich seam of great cuisine here.”

In the summer, the nightclub Myyst opened its doors for the first time at the Arcadian Centre and has been proven to be a popular venue for night lovers in the city.

The Arcadian, located in Southside in the centre of Birmingham is set around an attractive piazza with a wide range of restaurants and bars. It also boasts the famous Glee Club, home of world class comedy events.
