NEW CAR PARK SEASON TICKETS TO BE LAUNCHED AT THE WELLINGTON CENTRE

Weekly and monthly car parking passes are to be introduced at the Wellington Centre, Aldershot, from Monday (October 3), providing drivers with flexible and affordable town centre parking.

Parking will also be free on Sundays from this weekend, says national commercial property and investment company LCP, which owns and manages the centre.

Changes to the parking tariffs will mean drivers can buy a weekly pass for just £20, which can be paid for via the on-site machine, or a monthly pass for £75 via the machine or direct debit. Drivers can leave and enter the 24-hour car park as often as they want during the season ticket period.

“Introducing these new season tickets provides another easy and convenient option for people who work in the town and for regular visitors to Aldershot,” said Ben Chislett, Managing Director of Retail at LCP.

“Being centrally located means The Wellington Centre is a great choice for drivers. And by offering free parking on Sundays, we hope it will encourage shoppers and visitors to come into the town and enjoy the leisure facilities that are on offer.”

Other tariffs are changing at the Wellington Shopping Centre car park, which is operated by Euro Car Parks on LCP’s behalf from October 3. These are:

1 hour - £1

2 hours - £1.50

3 hours - £1.80

4 hours - £2

8 hours - £5

12 hours - £6

24 hours - £8
