Tesco Express has opened a new store at Castle Bromwich Shopping Centre after agreeing a 15-year lease.

Rakesh Joshi, Lettings Director, said it was good news to have brought Tesco Express to the parade, which is at 2, Timberley Lane, a 4,799 sq ft unit on the ground floor.

The rest of the unit has been split into a separate 12,012 sq ft retail unit and is being fitted out, ready for a new potential occupier.

“Castle Bromwich Shopping centre serves a busy community, with more than 1.2 million visitors a year, so we’re pleased to have attracted this important retailer,” he said.

“We’re now busy seeking a new occupier for the remainder of the space. It’s a prime location in a busy area, with plenty of opportunities, so we hope we can announce a new letting in the coming weeks.”

The agent acting for LCP was Ed Purcell of Creative Retail and the legal transaction was completed by in-house solicitor Neil Harrison.  Simon Smith, of WrightSilverwood, acted for Tesco.
