TWO EV CHARGING POINTS INSTALLED AT BELL WALK, UCKFIELD

Two electric vehicle charging points have been installed at Bell Walk, Uckfield.

The InstaVolt rapid 120kWh+ chargers are in the car park next to Claire Davies Hair Salon, and are already activated.

Phil Murphy, Asset Manager at national commercial property and investment company Evolve Estates, which is part of the LCP Group and owns the shopping centre, said it forms part of the group’s comprehensive programme to install a further 290 charging stations in 72 at its larger retail parades and centres by spring 2023.

“We’re working hard to help the UK develop a good infrastructure of EV chargers and are pleased to unveil our two latest points at Bell Walk,” he said.

Any electric vehicle that is DC compliant can use an InstaVolt charging point and all have CHAdeMO and CCS2 connectors.

InstaVolt chargers cost £0.57 per kWh and there is no connection fee or monthly membership fee.

This year, InstaVolt was named the UK’s best public charging network by Zap-Map for the fourth consecutive year and was awarded the EVIE Private Sector Infrastructure Strategy of the Year award for the second year in a row.

Bell Walk has 15 retail units and tenants include KFC, Magnet, EcycleUk Ltd and Pets Corner.
