Eddisbury Square in Frodsham is fully let for the first time in more than 10 years after a local butcher and a much-loved local charity signed up for the last units.

National commercial property and investment company LCP, which owns and manages the 19-unit parade, has agreed terms with The Hospice of the Good Shepherd in Backford, Chester, for unit 15, a 782 sq ft unit.

The charity, which delivers highly-specialised palliative care and support services to patients and families from communities throughout Cheshire West –including Frodsham, Ellesmere Port and Deeside – has taken a five-year lease. The charity already operates six shops across Chester, Ellesmere Port and Neston.

Caroline Siddall, director of income generation, said: “We are excited to have a presence in Frodsham, in the heart of a community that has always shown tremendous support for our work.”

Neil’s Quality Meats has signed a 10-year lease for unit 9, an 801 sq ft unit. It will be the second shop for Neil Wolvine, who has operated the Kirby store for the past 10 years.

Martin Wade, associate director of LCP, said: “Being fully let demonstrates the confidence retailers continue to have in local shopping parades and this is a sector that continues to go from strength to strength. Eddisbury Square is a really popular retail parade in an affluent area, so we’re pleased to be welcoming two local brands.

“They’ll join a strong line up of nationally known high street names and other independents at the parade, providing a great range of goods and services for the local community on their doorstep.”

Tenants at Eddisbury Square, which has a total of 32,966 sq ft retail space, include Sainsbury's, Subway, Boots, Cancer Research, Oxfam, Card Factory and The Factory Shop Ltd. There are also parking spaces for about 50 vehicles.
