Multipark Pensnett, one of the largest secure industrial estates in Europe, has welcomed three new tenants.

The West Midlands estate, which is owned and managed by commercial property and investment company LCP, part of M Core, helped car body shop and alloy wheel refurbishment company Hot Wheelz find a larger unit, agreeing a five-year lease for Building 22, Bay 3.

Richard Thompson, who owns the business and has operated from a unit close to Multipark Pensnett for the past 12 years, said the new unit is four times larger than its previous home and he has invested £65,000 in the move.

“After being in a 1000 square feet unit for the last 12 years the company has grown year on year and after taking on more staff the time came to look and move into bigger premises. With the extra room, we are looking at taking on two additional staff members.”

Moving into the adjacent bay – Building 22, Bay 4 – is CJP Homes, which has opened a new company, Renew Builders Merchants Ltd.

Tyler Norman said: “Our staff have a combined experience of over 40 years within the building merchant trade, which means our customers will receive expert levels of knowledge and assistance. As we expand, we also aim to create new roles and expand the service we provide.”

Badam and Robinson Homes, which builds timber-framed holiday lodges and park homes, has also signed a six-year lease for Building 22, Bay 5, a 5,729 sq ft unit.

Anthony Badams, said: “We’ve taken the leap to move the company on after 12 months of working as sole traders. After looking for about six months, we are now in a unit twice the size as before and we’re now really busy.”

Paula James, LCP Industrial Lettings Manager, said: “Over the past few months, we’ve been preparing for these new lettings on Multipark Pensnett and it’s great to see local companies expanding and thriving. Providing good-quality units on a secure estate is attracting businesses who value safety and security, and we’re continuously investing to improve it.”

In the summer, LCP Group announced it was on track to invest more than £1 million on refurbishing several units at Multipark Pensnett this year – after already spending £560,000 last year on improvements to four buildings.
