London & Cambridge Properties (LCP) has strengthened its retail team with the appointment of a new retail asset manager.

Matthew Pegg joins LCP from Harris Lamb, where he started his career as a graduate surveyor and gained MRICS status, before specialising in retail.

A graduate in Real Estate Management from the University of Central England (now BCU) the 29-year-old has eight years’ experience in the commercial property sector. His achievements include successfully securing a number of key corporate national clients in addition to the development and strengthening of brand awareness.

Matthew, from Worcestershire, a keen rock climber and musician, said he was keen to continue his success, having previously created and developed a retail agency department for Harris Lamb during the recession.

“As a direct property owner, LCP will afford me plenty of opportunities to apply my existing knowledge and develop my asset management skills in a company that has clear ambitions for its future growth,” he said.

Jo Salmon, LCP retail asset manager, said Matthew’s proven skills for finding value-added opportunities would enable the company to continue its plans for consolidation and growth.

“Our growing team has the skills required to deliver continuously high levels of service to our tenants and customers,” she said. “We’re pleased that Matthew has chosen to work with us at LCP and we look forward to seeing him develop his career.”
